My name is Joe and I am a chronic pain patient; specifically, I am a Complex Regional Pain Syndrome patient.  My journey with chronic pain began as I awoke the morning of July 23, 2003.  My hope in creating this blog is that people can learn from my experiences in living with chronic pain and that all of us might learn from others’ experiences.  While the site is not set up for this yet, I hope to someday have the site set up so that people can post pictures of how they overcame their pain, even if just for a day or part of a day.  However, as a full-time employee and full-time college student, time is currently a commodity in short supply for me.  Please bear with me as we work to transform this site.  I am a believer in the adage, “knowledge is power” and hope that this blog offers people a way to increase their knowledge regarding life with chronic pain.  And by people, I do not just mean patients; chronic pain is a family diagnosis.  Even though only a single individual within a given family may carry the diagnosis of chronic pain that does not mean that every individual in that family has not had their life altered by that diagnosis.  Hopefully this blog will offer information useful to everyone affected by chronic pain, from patients to family members to friends of chronic pain sufferers.

Please help others by using the comment sections of my blog posts to share your thoughts, ideas, and stories of how you have dealt with, and hopefully overcome chronic pain.  Also, if you want to reach out to me, please feel free to send me an email at chronicpaininmotion@gmail.com.  I do ask that you be patient with me given my current schedule, but I will do my best to reply as promptly as possible.  Please remember the intent of this site is to help one another; therefore, I do reserve the right to remove any negative comments.  We’re here to help and encourage one another, not hinder or harass.  I wish everyone well and hope you achieve all your goals in life.
